Your Gift Will Make A Difference
Red Panda Network (RPN) is the world leader in red panda conservation. Since 2007, we have been working with local communities in Nepal to serve as active partners in the conservation of wild red pandas and their habitat.
Our primary focus includes:
Research & Monitoring
Delivering usable data through status surveys, baseline studies, and community-based monitoring to inform conservation strategies.
Policy and Advocacy
Empowering local communities to preserve their forests and governments to adopt policies that protect red pandas and their habitat.
Working with local communities in establishing wildlife corridors and viable red panda populations.
Education and Outreach
Building awareness at local and global scales.
Providing alternatives to communities for promoting sustainable living and stewardship.

There Is Hope
The global red panda population has declined by 50% over the last 20 years and there may be as few as 2,500 remaining in the wild.
But thanks to supporters like you, there is hope for the first panda. RPN has established the world’s first protected area dedicated to red pandas in Eastern Nepal! Here red panda sightings are increasing and there has been a 65% reduction in trap/snare presence in patrolled areas since 2015! We are now expanding our community conservation model to critical unprotected habit in Western Nepal. Check out the video below for other RPN milestones!
